Hartmann Gallery announces the exhibition "Landscapes in motion" of the Dutch painter Ben Geerts. With a clear metric and harmonic forms, Geerts offers his interpretation of urban landscapes. In his works reflected a philosophical perspective to painting. His work includes the eternal quest of man, the meaning, history and destiny. Her paintings are abstract geometric, as this latest series reveals imaginary landscapes. These forms create a metaphor, a moving perspective showing the different views as we watched. The forms also are transformed as they do, the path is changed while Geerts is changing his will. The purpose is progressive and is modified during the creation of the work, further providing a way for constant displacement. biographical text Geerts He studied Fine Arts and Letters in the Netherlands. After several years dedicated to teaching art and philosophy of Germany, in 1970 decided to follow his vocation and devote himself fully to painting. Ben Geerts is a contemporary painter who works with a variety of styles, techniques and materials highlighting clearly as an abstract painter. His art contains, with its own style, nuances of the artistic movement "Stilo" (de Stijl) and Doesburg Mondriaan. His art represents a link between the purely abstract expression and harmony of form. Geerts has worked in Amsterdam, Berlin and New York where he enjoys a reputation as a versatile artist formed, being also a poet and musician. His work has appeared in over 10 countries and is exhibited in several museums in Holland and Germany.
